The Pistachio Ischler is gluten-free but still contains tree nuts and dairy.
Ischler cookies can be stored at room temperature for up to one week, ideally in an airtight container kept in a cool, dry place. While refrigeration is not compulsory, it is recommended during warmer weather to prevent the chocolate topping from melting.

For longer storage, Ischlers can be frozen for up to two months—just wrap them well and allow them to thaw at room temperature before serving for the best taste and texture.
